Patent-Protected Key Systems
Pick-, drill- and bump-resistant cylinders with keys that can’t be copied at the hardware store. Cut, pinned and registered in-shop.
Richmond runs on shift work, early flights, and long commutes. When a lockout happens at 4 a.m. on Sea Island before a YVR departure, or a strata property manager in Brighouse needs 40 suites rekeyed before new tenants move in Monday, there is no time for a 90-minute wait window. We dispatch from within Richmond and reach most addresses — Brighouse high-rises, East Cambie townhomes, Hamilton industrial units — in under 30 minutes. Canada Line stations at Lansdowne, Aberdeen, and Brighouse anchor a dense concrete-tower corridor where high-turnover rental suites generate steady rekey demand. We carry modern Schlage B-series for new strata builds, older Weiser and Kwikset for Steveston heritage cottages, and Abloy and EVVA deadbolts favoured in commercial units along No. 3 Road.
Every job handled by a licensed Richmond technician — clear pricing on the phone before anyone arrives.
On-site in 20–30 minutes. Lockouts, break-in repair, all keys lost — day or night.
Rekey, lock change, deadbolts, home lockouts, suite security upgrades.
Master key systems, access control, high-security hardware for offices and strata.
Car lockouts, key fobs, transponder keys, ignition repair — mobile to your location.
Sea Island is its own contained geography — two bridges in, one tunnel out — which makes a lockout there functionally different from one anywhere else in Richmond. We are already operating in Richmond, and Sea Island is 10 to 15 minutes from central Bridgeport depending on bridge traffic.
Rental car lockouts at YVR. The major rental agencies — located in the parkade off Grant McConachie Way — handle their own fleet damage but typically will not unlock a customer's locked vehicle. That call goes to an outside locksmith. We handle these regularly: slim-jim and air wedge entry for common fleet vehicles (Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra, Ford Escape), transponder key cutting for cases where the key is lost rather than locked inside, and emergency extraction when a spare is unavailable and the rental counter has already closed. Response from Bridgeport Road area: 10–14 minutes.
Airport hotel guests. The cluster of hotels on Miller Road and adjacent streets serves a high-churn overnight population. Room key issues are handled by front desk, but personal vehicle lockouts in those surface lots are not. We carry tools for Canadian and international vehicle makes common to business travelers.
Sea Island commercial units. The industrial and warehouse tenants on Grauer Road and Ferguson Road use a mix of commercial hardware. Medeco and Mul-T-Lock high-security cylinders appear on bonded cargo facilities; standard commercial Schlage B-series on lighter industrial units. We carry the tooling for both. If your facility uses a restricted keyway system, call ahead — we will confirm compatibility before dispatch.
One practical note on No. 3 Road commercial strips: several retail units between Cambie Road and Westminster Highway are occupied by businesses that originally installed Asian-market lock hardware — primarily Kaba and certain OEM brands without North American distribution for replacement keys. We carry key blanks and cutting capability for the most common profiles; for restricted or proprietary systems we will advise on cylinder replacement rather than fabricate a guess. From YVR rental-car lockouts to Brighouse strata rekeys — the real ones we get every week.
Yes. Sea Island is a regular service zone. From central Bridgeport, drive time is 10 to 14 minutes depending on bridge traffic. We handle rental fleet vehicles — air wedge and long-reach entry for locked-in keys, and key cutting for lost-key situations on common rental models. Call 604-332-2291 and specify you're at YVR; we'll confirm ETA before dispatch.
Yes. The No. 3 Road corridor from Richmond Centre south to Bridgeport includes retail and restaurant tenants using a range of hardware — North American Schlage and Kwikset, and some Asian-market OEM cylinders without local key blank distribution. We rekey what we can and replace cylinders when blanks are unavailable or the keyway is proprietary. We carry Schlage C and SC1 keyways in stock for same-day rekeying on most commercial units.
On a clear run, 15 to 20 minutes via No. 2 Road or Steveston Highway. Evening and weekend traffic can push that to 25. Steveston Village and the Steveston Townsite are regular service areas. Homes in the heritage core — particularly along Moncton Street and the side streets toward the waterfront — often have older Weiser and Kwikset hardware dating to the 1980s and 1990s. We carry the cylinder stock for those and can rekey or replace on the spot.
Yes, and it's among the most common jobs in our Richmond workload. The high-rise corridor around Lansdowne, Aberdeen, and Brighouse stations has high tenant turnover — suites rekeyed between tenancies, master key systems updated after property management changes, and common-area hardware refreshed after contractor access. We work with strata councils and property managers directly. Scheduling a block of suites in a single building visit reduces your per-door cost. Call to discuss volume pricing.
Standard vehicle lockout service on Sea Island starts at $75 for a straightforward locked-in-keys call during business hours. After-hours (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) carries a service premium. Lost-key situations requiring key cutting or a transponder key are priced by vehicle make and key type — expect $120 to $200 for a cut key, more if programming is required. We quote before we start. Call 604-332-2291 for a confirmed price before we dispatch.
